Workday Wednesday–Arthur's On the Job! ~ Part 3

Welcome to Part 3 of Arthur’s On the Job!  This will be our last installment in this series.  But, don’t worry, I have more photos and stories about Arthur Harry Iverson to share with you in the future.  If you've missed the first two installments you can read them HERE and HERE.

This photo shows Arthur hard at work on a vintage car.  I’m not sure what kind of equipment he is using.  Could it be some type of diagnostic tool?

In the following photo I’ve zoomed in on the equipment Arthur was using.  Unfortunately, the photo quality isn’t high enough to see what the words are on top of the equipment.

Thank you for joining me on this three-part tour of Arthur Harry Iverson at work as a mechanic.  Until next time….

Thanks for reading!

Workday Wednesday–Arthur's On the Job! ~ Part 2

Welcome to Part 2 of Arthur’s On the Job!  If you missed Part 1, you can read it by clicking HERE.

Arthur was an excellent mechanic.  And as my regular readers know, even the famous Clark Gable sought him out when he brought his car to the garage where Arthur worked.

As promised, here is another photo of Arthur at work (and yes, this is another photo from my Grandma Ingrid's Books of Remembrance) -

I thought it would be nice to post some close-up views of the above photo, so here they are.

First up is my Grandpa Arthur.

And next is some kind of Kwik-Way equipment in the shop.  I did a Google search and found Kwik-Way’s website.

Not being a mechanic myself, I can’t really tell what kind of Kwik-Way machinery is shown in the photo or what my grandpa is holding in his hands as he works on that old car.  Any guesses?

So, that’s it for now.  I’ll share another photo of Arthur at work in the next installment of Arthur’s On The Job!

Thanks for reading!

Workday Wednesday–Arthur's On the Job! ~ Part 1

My regular readers may remember reading about my Grandfather, Arthur Harry Iverson, in my previous post I Found Clark Gable's Mechanic in the 1940 Census.

I was thrilled to find this photo (below), as well as other photos, of Arthur at work in one of my Grandmother Ingrid's Books of Remembrance.

Here are some close-up views from the above photograph.

First up—my grandpa, Arthur Harry Iverson.

I thought it would be interesting to show the calendar from the day the photo was taken. Looks like it was a January day in 1931.
