Hello wonderful readers!
Just a quick post to tell you that there will not be a Genealogy Fab Finds post today. I've been dealing with shoulder/upper arm pain this week. I'm not sure yet if it's tendinitis, frozen shoulder, or what. It seems to be feeling better than before, but earlier it was difficult to use the computer mouse.
Hopefully Genealogy Fab Finds will resume next week. Thank you for your patience.
Have a great weekend!
Jana

Hi Jana,
ReplyDeleteThis happened to me several years ago. I had pain in my upper arm and also my shoulder while mousing. I feared I was having a heart attack and went to the R. They said no, which was a relief. My doctor prescribed physical therapy to strengthen the arm muscles and joint mobility and that seemed to work. I modified my mousing style - I was mousing with my right arm extended to the right and not resting on anything, and I started trying to mouse with my arm at right angles to my body and resting my forearm on the desk corner, thereby not stressing my shoulder and supporting my arm.
Yikes Randy! My doctor said I have frozen shoulder, but I haven't had any imaging yet. He also prescribed physical therapy. It's difficult/painful to move or raise my arm in certain positions. So not fun!
DeleteFeel better and relax on this holiday weekend. Take care of yourself!
ReplyDeleteThank you Marian!
DeleteGet well soon!
ReplyDeleteThank you Colleen!
DeleteYou take care Jana. Physical Therapy can do wonders. I have terrible tendinitis in my elbows, but I manage it. I don't use a regular mouse, I use a roller mouse. Ergonomically much better.
ReplyDeleteThank you!
DeleteOuch! I'm so sorry. I have trouble with facet joint syndrome sometimes and I can't move at all. It's awful. I hope you are feeling better. I have a great physical therapist that always gets me through. He's taught me enough good stretches that sometimes I can feel it starting to be a problem and stop it from progressing with those stretches. I hope it clears up quickly for you. :)
ReplyDeleteThank you Amberly! Ouch for you too. I'm sorry you are dealing with your own difficulties.
DeleteI totally feel your pain. I've been there and still suffer from time to time...hope it's better soon!
ReplyDeleteThank you Teresa!
