ReplyDeleteI especially enjoy reading posts from bloggers on why they blog and how it helps their research, so Jake Fletcher's post was a highlight for me. I wrote my own list of "Top 5 Reasons to Write a Family History Blog" a few months ago, as well. (http://knowtheirstories.blogspot.com/2015/11/five-reasons-to-write-family-history.html) It seems those of us who blog find it valuable for a lot of the same reasons. I'm always telling the members of my local genealogy society that they should give it a try. It's amazing how blogging can improve your research and introduce you to helpful cousins.
Great list of reasons to blog in your post Erin! Yes, blogging is wonderful for so many reasons. I have actually taught a class in various settings about why blogging about our family history is beneficial to our genealogy research. Hopefully the members of your local genealogy society will take your advice and give it a try. :) Thanks for stopping by!
